The Brazilian construction conglomerate once called Odebrecht SA and certain subsidiaries will pay more than $17.3 million to interrelated investment entities, ending a lawsuit alleging it concealed a corruption scandal considered one of the largest in modern Latin American history.
Judge Dale E. Ho signed their stipulated judgment in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York Thursday, which the sides had agreed to with a trial date looming at the end of the month and more than eight years of litigation.
