Match Group Fails to Toss Investor Suit on Fake Dating Profiles

Match Group Inc. must face a shareholder suit alleging it made misleading statements about fake dating profiles and user retention after a federal judge in Texas declined to dismiss the investors’ amended complaint.

Investors in the company behind online dating services including Match.com, Tinder, and OkCupid “adequately specified at least some allegedly misleading statements or omissions,” the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas said.
