Match Group Fights Off Investor Suit on Fake Dating Profiles

Match Group Inc. is free of a would-be securities class suit accusing it of not doing enough to weed out fake accounts, though a federal judge in Texas gave investors permission to try again.

Investors in the company behind online dating services including Match.com, Tinder, and OkCupid didn’t sufficiently allege Match materially misled them or acted with the required state of mind, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas said.
