Lutnick, View’s $11 Million SPAC Settlement Gets Court Approval

US Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick and other architects of View Inc.'s blank-check company merger to go public got a court’s go-ahead for an investor settlement.

Judge Beth Labson Freeman Thursday gave her final approval of the $11 million deal to resolve allegations View and others understated window warranty accruals while merging to go public in 2021. The US District Court for the Northern District of California judge awarded investors’ lead counsel about $3.67 million in attorneys’ fees, plus $363,336 in litigation expenses.
