US Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, the investment bank he used to lead, and others agreed to pay $11 million to end litigation with View Inc. investors, according to a federal court filing.
The proposed class settlement warrants preliminary court approval, the investors told the US District Court for the Northern District of California on Thursday. The investors sued Cantor Fitzgerald LP—and entities and people associated with it, including Lutnick—along with View and its top executives, seeking to hold them responsible for alleged proxy misstatements.
