D.C. Circuit Upholds Cactus Canyon Quarries Brake Light Citation

A federal appeals court won’t hear a Texas mine operator’s appeal of safety citations issued against the company for alleged service vehicle headlight and taillight violations.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit denied Marble Falls, Texas-based Cactus Canyon Quarries Inc.'s petition for review Jan. 14.

Cactus Canyon wants the court to reconsider a set of citations issued by the Mine Safety and Health Administration in January 2018 over alleged nonfunctioning brake lights on a service truck and for broken and missing headlights on others after an inspection.
