Stanley Tumbler False Ad Suits Over Use of Lead Get Combined

Pacific Market International LLC will face a combined class action alleging it failed to disclose the presence of lead in its viral sensation the Stanley tumbler, after a federal judge consolidated three lawsuits over the company’s objections.

Though PMI argued consolidation would require it to conduct extensive discovery against each named plaintiff, and that the two later-filed lawsuits should instead be dismissed as duplicative, “this argument strains common sense” Judge Tana Lin of the US District Court for the Western District of Washington said April 26.
