P&G Gets Antiperspirant Breast Cancer Lawsuit Dismissed For Good

Procter & Gamble Co. exited a Louisiana woman’s suit alleging benzene in Secret antiperspirant caused her breast cancer, as her latest complaint was rejected because she failed to show she was exposed to benzene.

Judge Sarah S. Vance of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana dismissed Pamela Rooney’s original complaint last November, saying she didn’t provide enough facts to support a connection between the antiperspirant and her cancer.

Vance allowed Rooney to file an amended complaint offering more detail, but dismissed the suit for good on Tuesday.
