NFL’s Move of Raiders ‘Destroyed’ Oakland’s Business, City Says

The city of Oakland is pursuing antitrust claims in the Ninth Circuit against the NFL over the relocation of the Raiders football team, citing millions of dollars in damages it suffered due to the collective decision to move the team to Las Vegas.

The NFL in December asked the Ninth Circuit to toss the city’s appeal over its antitrust challenge to the relocation, arguing the city hasn’t shown it would still be hosting a franchise if the league allowed more teams to join.
