Nestle ‘No GMO Ingredients’ Label Proposed Class Suit Dismissed

Nestle USA Inc. and a California consumer have stipulated to the dismissal of a proposed class suit alleging it deceptively touted Coffee mate and other products as having “No GMO Ingredients,” according to a filing in federal court in California.

Jennifer Latiff alleged seals on the products make it look like an outside organization, the Non GMO Project, analyzed the product ingredients, when only the company itself did.

Last year, the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California denied Nestle’s motion to dismiss the case. Latiff has standing to pursue claims under California’s consumer protection laws, and consumers ...
