Nestle Must Face Class Action Over ‘No GMO Ingredients’ Labels

Nestle USA Inc. must face a proposed class action alleging it violated California law by mislabeling Coffee mate and other products as containing “No GMO Ingredients,” a California federal court ruled Sept. 19.

Named plaintiff Jennifer Latiff has standing to pursue the suit, and she has adequately alleged claims of unfair competition, false advertising, and violations of California’s Consumers Legal Remedies Act, Judge Otis D. Wright II of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California held.
