A settlement that would have provided up to $1.75 million worth of vouchers to resolve class claims Johnson & Johnson Consumer Inc.'s aerosol sunscreen was contaminated with benzene was vacated by a federal appeals court Thursday.
Theodore Frank, the objector in the deal, argued the settlement should get thrown out because plaintiffs’ attorneys would receive $2.6 million, while less than half of the value of the vouchers would be redeemed.
