DraftKings Inc. and FanDuel Inc. told the District of Massachusetts that claims by family members of online daily fantasy sports players seeking to recover gambling losses must be dismissed because the companies had no financial stake in who won or lost money.
The companies “merely hosted and did not participate in any DFS contests, earning the same whether plaintiffs’ relatives…won or lost money,” the companies told the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
