CBD Product Marketing Suit Axed After No Answer to Dismissal Bid

A California man’s proposed class suit alleging Infinite Product Co. deceptively markets cannabidiol products was thrown out by a federal trial court in California after he failed to respond to the company’s dismissal motion.

Adam DaSilva alleged Infinite deceptively touts the health benefits of numerous CBD products, including representing that they can alleviate some symptoms of autism, and that people have moved to using CBD for pain relief.

Infinite sought dismissal last month, arguing in part that a lawsuit based on cannabidiol product labeling and marketing “is particularly ill-suited for nationwide class treatment.”
