CBD Product Marketing Suit Called Ill-Suited for Class Status

A lawsuit based on cannabidiol product labeling and marketing “is particularly ill-suited for nationwide class treatment,” Infinite Product Co. said, asking a federal court in California to toss a man’s suit based on the purchase of one of its products.

Not only is the Food and Drug Administration’s position evolving, “but each state has a unique and widely disparate stance on CBD products under state law due to their individual authorities to regulate food safety” within their own borders, Infinite said in a filing to the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
