TTEC Nears Deal to Settle Class Action Claims Over Data Breach

TTEC Services Corp. will settle consolidated litigation over a 2021 data breach, according to a new filing in federal court in Colorado that says the parties have reached a deal in principle that will resolve all classwide claims.

Five plaintiffs sued the customer experience technology and services company in January on behalf of a proposed class of current and former TTEC employees and other individuals. They accused the company of acting negligently and violating state consumer protection laws by failing to guard sensitive data—including Social Security numbers, healthcare IDs, clinical diagnoses, names, and birthdays—from a data breach.
