A federal judge granted early approval of a $300,000 settlement agreement to resolve one of the many lawsuits spurred by a 2023 data breach of Progress Software’s MOVEit file-transfer application.
The settlement terms would resolve a class action against Massachusetts-based The Bank of Canton brought by about 10,000 of its customers whose personally identifying information was included in the files leaked during the MOVEit breach, according to a Feb. 20 memorandum of law filed in support of the motion for early approval of the settlement terms.
