A proposed class action against a national mortgage loan provider over claims it failed to protect the sensitive data of its customers after 171,000 individuals’ personal information was exposed in an August breach was referred to arbitration.
The lawsuit against American Neighborhood Mortgage Acceptance Co., which does business as AnnieMac Home Mortgage, was sent to arbitration days after the initial complaint was filed, according to a Nov. 26 docket entry in the US District Court for the District of New Jersey.
