EU Issues Guidance on Privacy and Digital Laws, Opens Comments

The European Union on Thursday issued its first guidance on the interplay between two of its most significant digital laws, its latest effort to improve regulatory consistency.

The European Data Protection Board and the European Commission also launched a public consultation on the guidelines, which are the first to clarify how companies can implement provisions of the Digital Markets Act in accordance with the bloc’s sweeping privacy law, the General Data Protection Regulation.
