Court Must End Massachusetts Car Data Ruling Delay, Group Says

A challenge to a Massachusetts law that gives consumers and repair shops access to vehicular telematics data needs a final judgment promptly, a business group argued to a federal court that hasn’t yet issued a ruling despite conducting a bench trial last June.

Waiting for the “right to repair” law to be implemented unfairly harms the independent car shops it was intended to benefit, the Massachusetts Right to Repair Committee argued in a brief filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
