Clicktale Beats Claims It Eavesdropped on Gap Customer Online

Clicktale Inc. is the latest website analytics company to beat claims it illegally eavesdropped on consumers online, in a California federal lawsuit involving a Gap Inc. shopper.

Clicktale’s recording of activities such as keystrokes, mouse clicks, and page scrolling on one of the clothing retailer’s websites doesn’t amount to wiretapping, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California said in a Thursday order.
