Arkansas is suing Roblox Corp. and Discord Inc. for allegedly designing and operating platforms where children were exposed to harmful content and predatory behavior.
State Attorney General Tim Griffin joins several other state attorneys general in targeting the online platforms over child safety concerns.
Roblox deliberately withheld age verification, didn’t warn children about safety risks, and built sexually explicit “experiences,” according to a complaintfiled June 11 in Los Angeles County Superior Court. “Roblox is tantamount to a breeding ground for sexual predators and the sexual exploitation of minors,” Griffin also said in the suit.
