Gibson Dunn Alum Jim Walden Makes His Case for Mayor

Mayoral candidate Jim Walden isn’t about to criticize his former Big Law peers for striking deals with President Donald Trump to resolve executive orders targeting the firms.

“I thought it was atrocious they were subjected to this,” the Gibson Dunn alum said in a wide-ranging interview Wednesday at Bloomberg’s New York headquarters. “I’m not going to sit here and Monday-morning quarterback that somebody did it right and somebody did it wrong.”

(His firm, Walden Macht Haran & Williams, wrote an amicus brief supporting Perkins Coie’s lawsuit over Trump’s order targeting Perkins, Walden also noted.)
