A former employee for German technology manufacturer Robert Bosch stopped pursuing litigation on behalf of workers who were impacted by a data breach into the company’s welfare benefit program.
Judge Stephen J. Murphy dismissed Donald Smith’s claims with prejudice Tuesday, following the plaintiff’s notice of voluntary dismissal filed the same day to the US District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
Smith sued Robert Bosch LLC in December, claiming the manufacturer failed to implement adequate cybersecurity measures that would’ve protected employee data stored by the health plan.
