Wave of Aflac Data Breach Suits Consolidated Into Single Case

Aflac Inc. will face claims related to a June data breach in a consolidated proposed class action after a federal judge in Georgia combined 24 separate cases against the insurer.

Any future suits against Aflac in the US District Court for the Middle District of Georgia related to the company’s June 12 cybersecurity incident will be automatically consolidated into the case initially filed by Eleanor Griffin, Judge Clay D. Land said Tuesday.
