Ulta Beauty Used Makeup Suit Dropped for Good by Plaintiffs

Ulta Beauty Inc. consumers alleging the chain systematically resold used beauty products as new have voluntarily dropped their claims for good, according to a filing in an Illinois federal court.

The suit was brought after a former employee tweeted that workers were encouraged to touch up and repackage returned merchandise and put it back on the shelf to be sold again.

Ulta has said it doesn’t permit the resale of used, damaged, or expired products.
