TikTok Seeks to Move Texas’ Child Security Suit to Austin Judge

TikTok Ltd. wants a Texas judge to transfer a lawsuit alleging violations of a state child online security law to a court 200 miles away in Austin, near the social media giant’s offices.

Galveston County, where Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) filed the suit in October, has no unique connection to the case and should surrender it, the lawyers said.

TikTok is asking Judge Lonnie Cox (R) to transfer the suit to Travis County, home of Austin, for convenience of parties.
