A state court in Galveston County on Wednesday ordered the lawsuit to Travis County, near its offices, from Galveston County, about 200 miles away, where Texas filed the October suit.
Judges elected in Travis County tend to be more liberal, elected by Austin’s residents, than those in Galveston County. Texas under Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) often files cases involving privacy matters in counties other than Travis.
