Eleven Tennessee prosecutors are appealing a federal court order barring them from enforcing a speech-related provision that prohibits helping minors from geting abortions in other states.
The move will require the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit to decide if a part of the law making it a crime to “intentionally recruit” a minor in Tennessee for an abortion that would be illegal in the state unconstitutionally restricts reproductive rights advocates’ free speech based on their viewpoint.
