Southwest Worker Wants Religious Bias Victory, Training Upheld

Southwest Airlines Co. and Transport Workers Union of America Local 556 should be stuck with their religious bias and union speech-based retaliation trial losses, and three airline lawyers should be required to attend religious liberty training, an anti-abortion Christian flight attendant told the Fifth Circuit.

The filing in three appeals pending before the New Orleans-based court by Charlene Carter in part responds to filings by Southwest and the union seeking to overturn a Texas federal jury verdict in Carter’s favor.
