Sony Music Entertainment voluntarily withdrew its lawsuit alleging Marriott International Inc. was willfully using unlicensed songs by artists like Beyoncé and Doja Cat in hundreds social media posts, according to a Tuesday district court filing.
Sony and eight affiliated record labels filed their notice of dismissal with prejudice in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Delaware. It wasn’t immediately clear what prompted the dismissal of the suit, which was filed in May.
