Simmons Hanly Conroy LLP convinced a federal judge to dismiss a manufacturing company’s suit alleging the law firm engaged in fraudulent litigation tactics in hundreds of asbestos cases.

J-M Manufacutring Co. accused the plaintiffs’ firm of using fabricated details and helping plaintiffs answer product identification questions to maximize recovery in asbestos cases. But the company’s complaint was insufficient, the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois said Tuesday.

The manufacturing company brought claims under the Racketeered Influenced Corrupt Organizations Act.
