Asbestos Plaintiffs’ Firm Sued Over Shady Litigation Tactics (1)

J-M Manufacturing Co. says Simmons Hanly Conroy LLP, a plaintiffs’ firm specializing in mesothelioma and asbestos cases, has engaged in a pattern of unlawful and fraudulent litigation tactics in hundreds of lawsuits against the company.

The firm develops an “implausible, but difficult to affirmatively disprove” narrative about how its clients were exposed to asbestos in J-M’s asbestos-cement pipe, and uses fabricated details to “maximize recovery,” the complaint filed May 10 in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois alleges.
