Shein, Owner of Ex-Yahoo Patents Request Stay Pending Dismissal

Companies owning fast-fashion retailer Shein and patents originally filed by Yahoo! Inc. said they have agreed to dismiss patent infringement claims and are close to reaching a resolution.

Current patent owner R2 Solutions LLC and Shein will move to dismiss the case in the next 30 days and asked the court to stay all pending deadlines, a notice filed July 25 in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas said. R2 sued Shein in October over the Singapore retailer’s alleged use of search engine technology that infringes five different patents.
