Sabre GLBL Defeats Worker Data Breach Class Suit for Second Time

Global travel tech company Sabre GLBL Inc. convinced a federal court to dismiss a proposed class suit brought by employees whose data was taken in a data breach.

The plaintiffs only had standing to pursue damages for emotional distress, Judge Reed O’Connor of the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas said. But they once again failed to provide facts that supported exempting them from the bar against recovery for emotional damages, he said. The dismissal this time was with prejudice.
