Two DC-area right-wing operatives were sentenced Monday to one year of probation for crimes related to robocalls targeted at Black Detroit residents during the 2020 presidential election.
John Burkman, 59, and Jacob Wohl, 27, received their sentences in Wayne Circuit Court for violating an election law against bribing and intimidating voters, conspiracy to commit an election law violation, using a computer to intimidate voters, and using a computer for a conspiracy, according to a news release from Attorney General Dana Nessel (D).
