Two DC-area right-wing operatives pleaded no contest Friday to felony charges of voter intimidation related to robocalls to Black Detroit residents urging them not to vote by mail in the 2020 presidential election.
John Burkman, 59, and Jacob Wohl, 27, entered their pleas in Wayne Circuit Court for violating an election law against bribing and intimidating voters, conspiracy to commit an election law violation, using a computer to intimidate voters, and using a computer for a conspiracy, according to a news release from Attorney General Dana Nessel (D).
