Ridgewood Savings Bank and a former New York-based female employee agreed to close litigation over the bank’s alleged gender discrimination.
Judge Frederic Block approved the parties’ move to dismiss the case with prejudice on Oct. 3, according to a filing with the US District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Block’s dismissal followed an August letter notifying the court that the parties reached a settlement. Kimberly Sinnott sued the bank in 2024 under state, city, and federal civil rights laws, alleging she was unlawfully denied a promotion and subjected to biased performance standards.
