Regal-Beloit, Former Exec Settle Age Discrimination Lawsuit

Regal-Beloit America Inc. and its former vice president of sales agreed to settle a lawsuit alleging the elimination of his job was intentional age discrimination, according to a Thursday court filing.

Timothy Harris and Regal reached a settlement for an undisclosed amount and requested to vacate the trial and related matters, according to a notice filed Thursday in the US District Court for the Northern District of Indiana. Harris sued in 2021, alleging Regal told him that his executive position was being “entirely eliminated,” and in his late 50s was forced to retire or accept a demoted position. But ...
