Progressive Leasing’s $3.25 Million Breach Deal Gets Initial Nod

Progressive Leasing LLC will likely pay $3.25 million to settle a proposed class action over a 2023 data breach after a federal judge in Utah preliminarily approved the deal.

Approximately 216,000 class members would be eligible for either $5,000 in reimbursement for documented out-of-pocket losses or a cash payment of $400, and two years of credit-monitoring services, according to a motion to approve the deal filed in the US District Court for the District of Utah. Members of a California subclass would be eligible for a separate $100 payment, it said.
