Progressive Leasing Agrees to Pay $3.25 Million After Data Hack

Progressive Leasing LLC is ready to pay $3.25 million to settle a proposed class action arising from a 2023 data breach that exposed the personal information of hundreds of thousands.

At least 216,000 class members would be eligible for identity theft protection and either up to $5,000 in reimbursement for traceable out of pocket losses or a cash payment up to $400. California residents can recover more, according to a motion for preliminary approval filed to the US District Court for the District of Utah.
