Lexclaim Recovery Group US LLC’s bid to opt-out of Patreon Inc.'s $7.25 million settlement over alleged Video Privacy Protection Act violations failed as a federal court granted final approval of the deal.
Patreon was sued for sharing its subscribers’ viewing choices and personal information with Meta Platforms Inc. without sufficient consent, according to court documents filed in the US District Court for the Northern District of California. The claims administrator received over 100,000 valid claims, the documents show.
