Nurse Prep Site Wins Dismissal of Video Privacy Class Lawsuit

SimpleNursing LLC’s convinced a federal court to dismiss a proposed Video Privacy Protection Act class suit after a judge determined that the information allegedly disclosed through third party pixel trackers wasn’t covered by the law.

Plaintiff Faith Benson said the nursing exam prep video website used pixels from Meta and TikTok, which recorded that she purchased a SimpleNursing subscription. The fact Benson became a subscriber, by itself, is insufficient for a claim, said the US District Court for the District of Delaware.
