Nike Inc., Converse Inc., and a small clothing designer agreed to drop a trademark dispute over who has proper ownership to use “Love, __” slogans in their marketing and branding.
The parties moved to voluntarily dismiss all claims and counterclaims with prejudice Wednesday in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York. The dispute stems from Nike’s “Love, Hurts.” campaign in collaboration with Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts and Converse’s “Love, Chuck” marketing in reference to their Chuck Taylor sneakers.
