NatureStar, Target to Settle Tableware PFAS Deception Lawsuit

NatureStar North America LLC and Target Corp. agreed to settle a proposed class action brought by a consumer alleging they misleadingly labeled single-use tableware as ‘compostable’ when the items contained PFAS.

The parties filed a notice of settlement Monday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of California.

  • Judge Jennifer L. Thurston previously rejected the companies’ request to dismiss the suit for a lack of standing
