NatureStar Must Keep Defending Tableware PFAS Deception Suit

NatureStar North America LLC and Target Corp. failed to convince a federal judge to dismiss a proposed consumer class action alleging they deceptively market single-use tableweare as “compostable” when the items contain PFAS.

The US District Court for the Eastern District of California on Wednesday rejected the companies’ arguments that the named plaintiff lacked standing to bring her claims. The court dismissed her request for an injunction with leave to amend.
