Muslim Civil Rights Group Gets DeSantis’ Terrorist Label Blocked

The Council on American-Islamic Relations, a Muslim civil rights organization, convinced a federal judge Wednesday to block Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) from designating the group a “terrorist organization.”

“The First Amendment bars the Governor from continuing the troubling trend of using an executive office to make a political statement at the expense of others’ constitutional rights,” Judge Mark E. Walker of the US District Court for the Northern District of Florida said.
