Mount Sinai Patient-Data Sharing Class Action Reaches Settlement

Mount Sinai Health System Inc. reached a settlement in principle over allegations it improperly shared medical data with Facebook, according to a Friday order that dismissed the case.

Plaintiffs alleged the use the Facebook Pixel on Mount Sinai’s patient portal amounted to disclosing their personal health and identifying data without permission, according to court documents from the US District Court for the Southern District of New York.
