Mount Sinai Patient-Data Pixel Sharing Class Action Moves Ahead

A federal judge largely denied Mount Sinai Health Systems Inc.'s motion to dismiss a proposed class action alleging it tracked and disclosed patients’ personal health information to Meta Platforms Inc.

In a 2023 complaint, patients said Mount Sinai deployed tracking technologies, including the Facebook Tracking Pixel, on its patient portal, collecting their personal health and identifying data and sharing it with Meta without their knowledge or consent.
