Mondelez, Consumers Settle Belvita Biscuit False Ad Lawsuit

Mondelez International Inc. and a class of consumers alleging it deceptively portrays belVita breakfast biscuits as healthful despite a high sugar content have reached a nationwide settlement, they told a California federal court.

Patrick McMorrow, Marco Ohlin, and Melody DiGregorio challenged statements that belVita products would provide “nutritious sustained energy,” “nutritious steady energy all morning,” and similar phrases.
